Our New Years Resolutions

MORE classes

We are launching our timetable with the tripling of hot yoga classes and the addition of a morning mysore programme. We will be consistent with our timetabling and no major changes will be made within the first 6 months of 2017.


GIVING BACK

We have just opened up our Pay It Forward scheme. Which allows members and students to contribute to the cost of classes for those who are unable to afford them.

More Workshops

We have already pencilled in 12 developmental clinics, 2 weekend immersions and a week-long immersion for 2017. This is a starting point only! We aim to bring you at least 20 workshops this year. Yay!


Consistency

Our timetable is now SET for 2017. We are committed to making as few schedule changes, teacher substitutions and class cancellations in 2017 as possible. We encourage you to book your classes online in advance. If there is a change we will then call you.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you have a mat of your own please bring it with you if you can! You can hire a mat at reception for £2, or we have a wide range available for purchase courtesy of The Yoga Shop UK. These include beginner mats (with extra grip), travel/lightweight mats, and a professional series for those who practice regularly (durable enough to last a lifetime!) Prices range from £16 – £90.

Buying blocks makes attending peak-time classes much cheaper (over 30%!) A block is simply a bundle of drop-in passes i.e a block of 5 = 5 drop in classes.

When you buy your block you do not have to book into a specific class, the classes are added to your account and you can drop-in to whichever class you fancy. You can also book into classes ahead online. You can spread your block out over several weeks or use them all in one week – how you use them is entirely up to you!

Both of our blocks have a set period of validity depending on the size. A block of 5 lasts for 5 weeks, and a block of 10 lasts for 10 weeks. Your block will activate on its first use to give you the maximum time possible!

No! Union Yoga is dedicated to making yoga easily accessible to anyone. We welcome beginners of all shapes, sizes and levels of fitness! It really can be practiced by everyone, as we give variations on all postures in all of our classes.

Our beginner courses are specifically designed for people who have no experience of yoga, and we have a variety of drop-in classes that are suitable for all. You can find more information on yoga for beginners, including which classes to attend, on the Beginners section of this page.

There is usually no need to book ahead for a drop-in class, but the studio can become busy at peak-times (evenings and weekends). Signing up online is the quickest and easiest way to make sure you have a spot, you can do this by following this link. Booking ahead will also speed up your sign in and ensure you start the class on time.

Tip: Try to book into workshops and courses well in advance as they often fill very quickly…
