Bruce has been practising yoga for 20+ years and teaching since 1999. He teaches from his own experience and has a unique gift for presenting yoga in a way that is easy to understand and accessible. He is experienced in many therapies, meditation and mindfulness and is widely travelled from living in an ashram in India, to studying with Shamen in Peru.
I often feel like my life took a sudden and dramatic turn when I started yoga. The practise got under my skin and inspired me to move and think in new ways. My daily forays to the mat started with Matthew Sweeney’s Vinyasa Krama Sequences. I have since completed 3 teacher training programs with Matthew, amounting to 800 hours of teacher training and countless mornings of practising and exploring.
Teacher and Thai Bodywork
Clara’s yoga journey began in 2001 when she walked into a studio to cope with the stresses from 9/11. Sixteen years later she has practised many styles of yoga, found a passion for Thai massage and her love for traditional Hatha; in particular Sivananda. Clara also teaches Restorative, Yin Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Pranayama and guided meditation. She continues her advanced studies on anual trips to Thailand where she studies with her teachers.
She has an intense desire to share the benefits of yoga and well-being with others.
Sarah first encountered yoga in a gym lesson at secondary school and giggled all the way through it at the back of the class with her friend. Her next encounter was on a trip to India a few years later where she went to daily yoga classes in a small village. She was intrigued and took it a bit more seriously.
Sarah has always been drawn to Ashtanga yoga. The powerful linking of breath and movement, the fixed gaze point to enable an inward focus, and the meditative nature of practising a set sequence by memory, all make it both therapeutic and inspiring for her.
Sarah completed her Ashtanga teacher training in February 2015 and Rocket Yoga training in April 2017. She is keen to facilitate people’s exploration into these dynamic practices and discovery of the therapeutic value within them.
Jo is experienced at practising & teaching a variety of Yoga styles – privately & at various gyms/fitness centers across Edinburgh. Jo’s practice deepened in 2005 as her Yoga Practice enabled a recovery from a serious illness. She is passionate about the therapeutic power of a regular Yoga Practice. Yoga is for everyone!
Kirsty completed her 200 hr Yoga Teacher Training in beautiful and culture rich Dharamsala in the Himalayas, India. She has been dedicated to her practice for 3 years. Kirsty believes that Yoga is about finding a balance within one’s own life; bringing peace to the day to day, allowing it to compliment your practice, in mind and in body. Working towards connecting the mind and breath to the body and movement. As a teacher, her aim is to inspire my students to fall in love with yoga and immerse themselves in their own practice.
